Hello,

I tried to find a solution in the forum and/or FAQ but couldn't find one.

Problem :

Before installing JoomSEF I ran my site with JoomFish Pro. Main-Language is German, second is gfrench. All Menus, Modules, Content's etc. are translated. Via the JFRouter Pro the switching between the languages was working fine and depending on the language the corresponding URL was useed (as defined) e.g. mysite.fr for french and mysite.de for german.

I installed JoomSEF, disabled the Joomfish-Router, set up the JoomFish-stuff in SEF-config, cleaned cache, purged url's and now the language swith is not longer working.
I played around with language setting a.s.o. but allways the same result.

What to set up to work with JoomFish as before JoomSEF but of course using the SEF-Component ??

Please help....it's really urgent !!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanx in advance

Olav

PUSH !!!

What about some answer ?? I remember that I read that users of payed versions get support as soon as possible.

I am waiting for some information for several days now. This is really a critical item regarding the functionality and usability of my site !!

Please react! Even when the answer is "We don't know how to fix it"

I have customers who wait for a solution !!!

Hello Olav,

I have got a several questions.
1) could you please explain what is JoomFish Pro? Does it have some version number?
2) can you please send screenshot of JoomFish related settings in JoomSEF?
3) also please send JoomSEF plugin settings screenshot

Hi Jan,

here my answers to your questions :

1) JFRouter Pro differs from JFRouter as JFRouter Pro translates more of the URL components (article, section and category aliases) in addition to the menu aliases

2)+3) For the hardcopies see attached file.

As I have installed all for checking out in a test-environment I can give you admin-access if necessary !!

Regards

Olav

Hello,

well, I think the reason is, that the "domain" configuration in your case is overriden by browser setting.

To explain that, if I would come to .com domain of your site, but my browsers' primary language is German, then whth your current configuration, I will get the page in German.

So I would advice you to set "get language from browser setting" to NO.
Also the cookie setting may play some role, so if the previous does not help, try setting the cookie option to NO as well.

Of course remember to clear all caches, especially your browser one + the existing site cookies in your browser.
There is however no need to Purge existing URLs.

Hi Jan,

thank you for your hints. Unfortunately they do not work.
I played around with the different settings you proposed but the resukt is as
before.
Starting the site i.e. www.cime-e-mare.de I get the german language (as supposed)
Clicking on the french flag in the header I see in the bottom-line of the browser that he will
stay in the german site instead of changing to www.cime-e-mare.fr (as he does using only Joomla SEF and Joomfish).

When I call the my www.cime-e-mare.fr url in the Browser-haeder-line I see the Url but the site remains in german.
All cooie- history-deleting doesn't change anything.

I attach my .htaccess, maybe there is an error ??
