TOPIC: Problem using SEF with SMF forum (Joomla 1.x)

Problem using SEF with SMF forum (Joomla 1.x) 14 years, 10 months ago #6625

The SEF component works great, if leaves my old links intact and creates good new one. I have one (big) problem.

My SMF forum doesn't work correctly when the SEF is turned on. I don't need the SEF for the forum but when i turn the SEF module for SMF off or uninstall the module the problem still exists. (module is within the artiosef)

Normally my forum url is:
www.mywebsite.nl/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,81/
For boards:
www.mywebsite.nl/component/option,com_smf/Itemid,81/board,23.0
and a message:
www.mywebsite.nl/component/option,com_sm...mid,81/topic,29466.0

When the SEF component is turned on and the SMF module off i get these urls
Forum:
www.mywebsite.nl/index.php?option,com_smf&/Itemid,81
Boards:
www.mywebsite.nl/index.php?option,com_sm...d,81&/board,23.0
and a message:
www.mywebsite.nl/index.php?option,com_sm.../topic,topic,29466.0

Look at the & signs.

When i turn the SMF module for SMF on i get urls like:
Forum:
www.mywebsite.nl/forum,/www.duken.nl/forum/3.html
Boards:
www.mywebsite.nl/forum,/www.duken.nl/forum/17.html
Messages:
www.mywebsite.nl/forum,/www.duken.nl/for...nl/forum/19.html#new

I want to work with the old forum URLS because of scripting and don't want to turn the SMF SEF module on.

Joomla 1.0.x
SMF 1.1 RC2
And using a (old) Jooma / SMF bridge.

Does someone has a solution for this problem? I'm willing to pay for ARTIO if this problem can be solved. I'm even willing to pay for a good solution. :)

Thanks,

DukeN

did you try our old SMF SEO extension?
