TOPIC: moving a site from IIS to apache

moving a site from IIS to apache 13 years, 8 months ago #13620

Hello,
I have an old Joomla 1.0 site with ARTIO Joomsef 2 installed on a IIS6; as sef engine we are using Helocon ISAPI rewrite.

Now we need to move the site to a Linux server with Apache installed with mod_rewrite enabled.

So I would like to know if the .htaccess file I'm actually using needs some changes.

Attached you find the content of my .htaccess file.

With thanks,
Agostoni

Hello,

compared to IIS, JoomSEF installation on Apache is no big deal. Just use the default htaccess distributed with Joomla (rename htaccess.txt to .htaccess if it does not exists yet). The only thing that should be checked is the RewriteBase value.
