TOPIC: ZOOfilter not working when using JoomSEF

ZOOfilter not working when using JoomSEF 11 years, 2 months ago #37033

I am using Zoolansers 'ZOOfilter' and when I use the search function the SEF breaks the results

Here is the url output when searching for 'house' using the ZOOfilter
index.php?option=com_zoo&controller=zoofilter&task=dosearch&search_id=302&app_id=1&Itemid=154

Here is the url output after JoomSEF is turned on
portfolio/client-information/dosearch/zoofilter?task=dosearch&controller=zoofilter&app_id=1

Is there a way to turn off the SEF for modules or output?

After more testing (I cleared all urls & cache etc) I notice it works when I do a search from a standard page like the home page but not from the module search results generated page.

Non SEF URL from homepage:
index.php?option=com_zoo&controller=zoofilter&task=dosearch&search_id=312&app_id=1&Itemid=154

Non SEF URL from ZOOfilter results page
index.php?option=com_zoo&controller=zoofilter&task=dosearch&search_id=314&app_id=1&Itemid=154

I have noticed no matter what you search for the URL doesn't change

* PHP Version 5.2.17
* Joomla! 2.5.9 Stable
* JoomSEF Version: 4.4.0

Hi,

Thank you for your report, the ZOOfilter plugin is currently not supported by our Zoo extension for JoomSEF. I've checked that the ZOOfilter plugin is paid, may I ask you if you could send me the package to Diese E-Mail-Adresse ist gegen Spambots geschützt! Du musst JavaScript aktivieren, damit Du sie sehen kannst. for testing? I can assure you that we won't use it for any other purpose.

In the meantime, there are two things you may try:
1. Open JoomSEF -> Manage Extensions -> Zoo -> Common tab and set the "Custom non-SEF variables" option to "search_id" (without the quotes). Then use the JoomSEF's URLs Manager to delete the already created SEF URLs for zoofilter and clear JoomSEF's cache.

2. If previous solution doesn't help, on the same tab set the "Do not SEF URLs matching regular expression" option to "controller=zoofilter" - that way the URLs for ZOOfilter shouldn't be SEFed.

Thank you for the reply, i tried it and it works for the first search but when I run a search the 2nd time (from the outputted page) I get the following error...

Renderer Layout "item.frontpage" not found. (File: administrator/components/com_zoo/classes/renderer/item.php, Line: 45)
Renderer Layout "item.frontpage" not found. (File: administrator/components/com_zoo/classes/renderer/item.php, Line: 45)
Renderer Layout "item.frontpage" not found. (File: administrator/components/com_zoo/classes/renderer/item.php, Line: 45)

It doesn't make sence because the is the URL output with the settings you suggested (doesn't work):
index.php?option=com_zoo&controller=zoofilter&task=dosearch&search_id=356&app_id=1&Itemid=119

Here is the URL output the ZOO sef turned off (does work):
index.php?option=com_zoo&controller=zoofilter&task=dosearch&search_id=358&app_id=1&Itemid=154

That's strange. You said that the search works for the first time, could you post the link that's used for the first working search? Thank you.
