All the problems i get since update.. HELP ! ! 13 years, 9 months ago #13785

hi
i create new topics one after another for bugs/problems occuring since i installed the last version of joomsef / virtuemart SEO, these mostly didn't occur before but sadly i've had to rebuild the site from scratch using these last versions...
i'm on joomla 1.5.20, virtuemart 1.1.5, joomfish 2.04, and the last joomsef.
so i thought i'd put them all in one single topic, it'd be easier to follow...

1 .htaccess is written wrong by joomsef / SOLVED by correctig the file (bug corrected in the next version to come, you said...)

2 no more variables in the virtuemart extension (see attached screenshot ), so then i can correct the expression but can't assign it to anything, so even though i have virtuemart SEO installed, i keep getting shitty URLS with my virtuemart.

3 still, the separator becomes clickable when i use them as parent menu and activate joomsef.
found a way to solve it by setting the advanced parameter to YES always use full SEO URL.

4 even though i have joomfish 2.04, i still have to deactivate the JFrouter to not get only 404 urls... i did all the documentation says except for the first option, Language integration

This option must match the setting set in the JoomFish router parameters - only the include in path and use different domains options are available.


this option has to match the jfrouter one, but there's nothing in either one or the other that can match each other: see picture, it shows the parameters ine my jfrouter, so you see, there's nothing such as "include in path" or "use different domains" so i don't see how anything could match...


5 when joomsef is activated, i can't access my virtuemart product pages anymore, everytime i click on one product, it links directly to the cart page.. (maybe linked to problem 4)

please help...

Hi,

I had many problems with the last update too, so I went back to 3.4 and my site works again!

Hoping that a next upgrade will work :(

yeah well... sadly enough i don't have it anymore... i was a bit stupid to erase it, i know, but i thought that an "update" would improve things, not send my site to hell....

i'll put my head on another part of my site now, i'll go on translating it all, hoping that when i'm finished, artio will have solved these problems. Because right now, i'm starting to wonder if, with all the time i spend "discovering" bugs, trying to solve them and reporting them, it wouldn' be cheaper for me to buy SH404SEF and simply forget i paid 42€ for something that (maybe worked at a time), brings me nothing but time loss now... i feel a bit like a was paying to be a beta-tester...

please artio, correct these stuffs ASAP .

Hello,

1. The bug was already fixed, but due to some inconsistency in files on our SVN it appeared again. It will be fixed once and for all in next version.

2. I don't know how your variables in VM extension could disappear, there was no change in them in last update. Anyway, if there are no variables to filter, there can't be your original problem described in another topic present, because that was caused by one rule being wrong in filter - since there are no rules, there must be some other problem now.
There are still some problems with new VirtueMart 1.1.5 that we're working on fixing right now. Anyway, what exactly is your problem with VM URLs?

3. I don't understand how your separator menu item can become clickable, since the standard Joomla menu module does not create the separators as links.

4. I've replied in another topic. Anyway, we'll check the Jfrouter compatibility.

5. Please post one of the non-working product link and the cart link from Manage SEF URLs page. Post the SEF URL and Real URL for them.

I'm sorry that you have such problems using JoomSEF. Could you contact me on Tato emailová adresa je chráněna před spamboty, abyste ji viděli, povolte JavaScript and send me access to your website so I could check the problems with VM and separators myself?

last night at the end I uninstalled the version 3.7 and installed again Versión:3.6.2.

But all the configurated SEFs and Redirect's were gone, so I began to search in google which pages are indexed so I began to write all addreses. But still all extesiones I've buyed where gone, I tried to install the joomsocial extension but got an error.

The problem I had since last upgraded to 3.7 is that many addresses wasn't working, when I make a click on it I got a white page or an server error, so my visits from google crashed a 44% due that pages doesn't exist. And when a turned off joomSEF, all links works properly but these pages are not indexed by google.

And I would like to install Joomfish to manage some languages on the web, but now I'm sure if Joomsef will work properly.

Hi,

When you uninstall JoomSEF, all of the files are lost. However, the SEF URLs stored in the database are not lost, the tables are just renamed so the _bak suffix is added to them, so you can use them later (which is written in the documentation). Anyway, all extensions can be easily installed using the Manage Extensions page.

White page means some error in PHP, these are usually caused by using PHP 4 - JoomSEF needs PHP 5.2.x to work properly. Server error is usually caused by some problem with .htaccess file or by some infinite redirect loop.
