TOPIC: K2 and multiple categories

K2 and multiple categories 11 years, 2 months ago #36666

Hi,

I have some menu options that link to a selection of several K2 categories. The Joomsef K2 plugin is set up so the menu title isn't added to the URL, and only the last category is part of the URL. When I have an option that links to just one category everything works fine, i.e. en/books or en/dvds, but the links to several K2 categories don't add anything to the URL. WHen I create a page with both books and DVDs categories, for example. I get just 'en' (language). I have tried changing the 'Page Display Options' to force the page's title, but I get nothing. Any ideas?

TIA

Hi,

I couldn't replicate the described problem. Please provide us with more information:
What versions of Joomla, JoomSEF, K2 and K2 extension for JoomSEF do you use?
Do you use native Joomla multilanguage or the FaLang component?
What is the Menu Item Type of your menu item?

Hi,
I'm currently using the latest versions:

Joomla! 2.5.9
Joomsef 4.4.0
K2 2.6.5
K2 Joomsef extension 3.0.12
Falang 1.2.0

The menu item type is created as "K2 categories", selecting several categories in the 'basic options' section. The menu option appears without an incomplete slug, just the language prefix. I was expecting it to form the sef url with the page's title.

Hi,

I've made a fresh install of Joomla according to your instructions but I still can't replicate the problem - the SEF URL for multiple categories menu item is created correctly as /lang/menu-alias.

Please post screenshots of your JoomSEF Configuration and K2 JoomSEF extension parameters.
Also please try to find the wrong SEF URL in JoomSEF's URLs Manager and post its corresponding Real non-SEF URL.
Thank you.
