TOPIC: Cache size for 9000 urls

Cache size for 9000 urls 11 years, 10 months ago #30027

Hi there, we are currently experienceing alot of performance issue when SEF is enabled. Can you possible recommend what I should set the cache size to. we are getting around 9000 URLS in the database after a few days. so do I need to set it handle this value?

Also is there a specific .htaccess file I should be using with ARTIO or is the standard Joomla SEF one ok?

many thanks

derek

Hi,
Try decreasing the "Minimum cache hits count" option (eg. to 2), so the URLs make it to cache earlier.
The default .htaccess that comes with Joomla is OK for JoomSEF.

You can check if the URLs are cached in JoomSEF's URLs Manager. Please make sure that you have the cache in Joomla's Global Configuration also enabled, otherwise the JoomSEF's caching doesn't work.
