TOPIC: 18,79 % tax?

18,79 % tax? 12 years, 6 months ago #24961

Hello.

Does anyone know the problem?

If a product at the store costs less than € 2 in the pdf calculation is 18.79% tax, instead of 19%. Products over € 2 everything is okay!

Thanks Walter

The problem exists only if the price of the product is 1.49 €. If the price is € 1.48, everything is okay!

so:

Product price 1,49 = 18.79% tax

Product price 1.48 = 19% tax

Can anyone help, thanks

Walter

Well, the problem is with roundings and VirtueMart.
VirtueMart does not store all the fields for an item - meaning brutto price, tax + netto price. So in some cases, tax or brutto price needs to be calculated from the other two values - and in such cases, this kind of incosistency may occur.

There is a setting in VM Invoice you can use to switch the calculation method. (data from VM - but then some sums on invoice may not fit; or recalculation based on VM data -> but then you can get results like this)

yes the switch to "Calculated of Base and VAT" I've already tried. Unfortunately, the same results 18.79%, 19%, 20%!

pity

the problem exists at my store too. it's a blocker as the tax accountant is going crazy ;-)

if i remember correctly all worked fine since the moment i adjustet a price in an already existing invoice which was correct. after that the rounding error appeared on _all_ invoices (old and new ones).

is there any quick fix to generate correct invoices? or even a clean long term solution?

edit: adjustet a price in an already existing invoice = put one price on 0€ of one product. and i had to reselect the tax rate for _every_ product and shipping option again as 0% was preselected everywhere when going to "edit order".

any help higly appreciated. thank in advance.
