this is over 8 weeks old. Is there any way you can help with this problem.
the problem is that the re-writing of k2 items is taking the first category ever set up and using that as the path to the item location of every item.

it is not associating them with the proper menu number.

ok, i have more on this bug. What it appears to be doing is taking the oldest instance of a K2 menu item in menus, and using that as the name of first directory hierarchy, ie: /directory1/whatever.html

So all new articles are getting that no matter where they are in the menu system and whether or not they even have a menu item.

Now I'm thinking I should just have left k2 out of the equation and just set k2 to basic rewriting or something else. But now I've got links all over the place that are already using the created links.

What to do...

I have tried that setting and nothing changed.

new urls under k2 categories, no matter where they are in the structure end up being names for an entirely different and unrelated category. It would be like /This-Silly-Dir/agreat.html instead of /Great/great.html
There are many many of them created. I delete them, purge cache and try again, eventually if I'm lucky after about 1 hour of fooling around it mysteriously makes the right url.

Have you ever seen this: bookmarks.honewatson.com/2010/02/17/k2-s...-sef-fix-for-joomla/

is this a possible solution?
I just can't keep doing this as now my hourly rate has gone down to about zeor per hour for hours of reinventing these urls that don't work, purging and doing it over and over and over again.

I have the 3.8.1 version licensed.

ok, we have solved most of the issue, by going into items and changing the menu associated with the itemid. I'm not sure why this is necessary, it seems that we are doing this quite often on various areas of the site. Also we have made many urls "non-sef" so that they do not process in the system.

We still have issues with cache. Sometimes when we delete cache, or purge cache from ArtioSEF, then go to tools and do joomla cache and purge expired, things still do not refresh properly. I am thinking now to completely turn off artioSEF cache and just use joomla cache.

we want DO NOT CACHE at all. is this possible to do on some pages?
Also is it possible to tell JoomSef not to touch or process some urls? This is an issue because something it does is making modules show up where they shouldn't, and it is also caching pages even when they are locked or non-sef. What I said in my first post was wrong, even wen I make them non-sef, they still cache.
We have pages that require Do not Cache.

I seem to have the same problem on some of my articles it is showing modules when they should not. I tried to delete the page and recreate it, but that didn't work. on this single page the modules show up when it shouldn't.
I have a paid version 3.7.6 and I'm afraid to upgrade because I don't want to have other issues show up.

Any way you can help on this issue. what could be the problem. I have tried with non-sef url, locked, and metamod to adjust the issue but it still will not change.

We have figured out that if we make a url non-sef, it will not cache. Is this the only way to get a url to stay out of cache?

We need this ability because some of our urls are running a php script (using Jumi) and report a session variable outside of joomla to the page. These are not wrappers it is embedded into a joomla page.

Thank you.
