I'm getting this error also>

Fatal error: Call to undefined method InvoiceTCPDF::SetDefaultMonospacedFont() in /var/www/haielo/administrator/components/com_vminvoice/helpers/invoicetcpdf.php on line 110

In VM settings>Configuration>Checkout>
I have "Default Order Status to CREATE an invoice" but not 'SEND', as well as "Default Order Status to send email to shopper" and "Default Order Status to send email to vendor".

Either way, I tried clearing the first one, and when I save, "Confirmed" re-appears; ok bug noted in VM...
