Hello ARTIO.

I was just going through Nets/Teller signup requirements for invoices. I noticed that the invoice is required to specify status of the payment.

At the moment VM Invoice does not support this. This could be fixed secondhand by only sending invoice on confirmed, and then manually add "Payment: Confirmed" into the invoice as text. I would expect such large component to have such simple item feature. Hope you will implement it, since its a requirement from the largest creditcard handler in europe.Everything we add manually, will not be translated.


On another note, has anything been done to make this component usable for multi-lingual sites ? In this case im talking about automatic invoice language detection (Delivery country, geo IP or frontend language) and also.. what about all the Invoice emails/delivery note emails, will these be updated to have a seperate window per. language published ? I guess having only only one Email template for 5 languages is not considered true multi-lingual.


I stated some of these problems a long time ago, hope the fixes are in the making.

I have now been in contact with my server host and they told me that their cron system open the website same way as wget, but it does not follow redirects..

They think its because your cron-system is dependent on a browser redirect?

Hi Support.

Im currently setting up the automatic sending of invoices that have been confirmed. The problem is that my cronjob is not working.. Im getting return HTTP 303

This is my cron: */20 * * * * www.mysite.com/component/vminvoice/vminvoice/cronMail


If i load the cron URL in my browser it works perfectly and all emails are sent..

So i contacted my server provider and they told me that the header their cron system sends is missing in the softwares PHP code and therefore the code makes a 303 redirect..

Im really not keen to using the automatic plugin which sends on every pageload.. Hopefully i can get this cronjob running..

I agree, that this is a tricky subject, and choosing the invoice language based on delivery address can be problematic..

Although the customer experience is key nowadays, since there is so many online stores available, i think we can all agree about that.

If we take an multilingual online store as example which does not have english as fallback and do a user test scenario where customers go through the checkout system.. All customers who are not related to the default language will receive an invoice which is not in their native language..

We agree that invoice sending is automated by cronjob/your plugin if payment is confirmed (which is the standard of online shopping) Then there is absolutely not time for the customer to login and change their user language.

Also, many online stores have even quitted requiring user creation.. And if we look at statistics, online stores who require this are actually loosing customers to competitors..mainly because of the slower process in shopping/checkout.

VM2 also offers "checkout without registration" and a order view possibilty with a link/password without having a user, which is quite smart..

I hope we can agree that this needs some attention and is obvisouly a must fix, regardless of how its done..Artio´s component is almost a complete multi-lingual product and is by far the best available despite the minor language fallouts.

Hi Support.

This component is overall quite nice.. But it is missing some key features. I have recently discovered a HUGE problem which makes this component absolutely useless in regard of more than one language.

This problem is related to how VMinvoice detects which language the customer invoice and DN should be delivered.

If i have loaded another language than the default through the language switcher, AND i pick the same country on checkout, then VM invoice still sends out the PDF/mails regarding to the default language which will not be the correct one.. All of your language friendly settings are pretty useless, when something as basic as this does not work. Sending the invoice is an automated process when payment is confirmed..

You need to implement functionality to detect the current used language-code/overlay when placing order, OR which country is selected for delivery/payment..

I have searched the forums and noticed that this issue was raised 5 months ago... I really hope you fix this soon, otherwise this is not really a proper multilingual component to be honest.

This is an urgent topic, and i dont see it updated yet (5 months).. If you place order and pay, the shopper will expect a invoice, but the invoice can only be received in their language if they login to their user AFTER placing order and choosing frontend language.. Sorry to say, but this makes no sense at all.. This should ofcourse be 100% automatic detected and work flawlessly.. I propose a language selection base on either frontend language or picked country in address..

Hello Artio Support!

FIrst off, I bought VMInvoice, and im very satisfied with the quality of this software. Im writing to you because im missing a basic functionality.

Your product works perfectly with multi lingual sites, and only fails on one simple part.. The text in emails...

I have a webshop with 3 languages, and none of them are English, this means i run into a problem when sending the Emails which contains invoice/DN.

I have seen other premium extensions where there was simply x number of editor windows according to the number of installed content languages. So on your Invoice E-Mail tab there should be for me 3 editor windows with language specific heading. This means i could manually type and design each email, which then loads according to the frontend language of the user.

Your product is so complete and i cant understand you haven't implemented this quite simple functionality..

Really hoping for you to make this improvement!
