Hi there!

I have a small problem with my website. I am using Joomla 1.5.15 and Virtuemart 1.1.4, along with JoomSEF 3.3.5. I have recently installed the Paypal Pro Payment Module from Virtuemart Solutions. The payment module is working ok, but any time I place a test order, I get an error message after I go through the 3D secure page.

The error message says

Warning: urlencode() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in /var/www/html/components/com_sef/joomsef.php on line 1208

Any ideas on this one??

I am using Acajoom for newsletters. My site is a Joomla 1.5 site. I am using Artio JoomSEF V3.3.5. Acajoom Sends out newsletters ok, but I have the module published to the front page and when I click on the link to show the previous newsletters, the URL comes up in the navigation bar - www.nav-e-gate4less.co.uk/component/acaj...9/listid-1/listype-1

but all I get is the home page. I have tried turing Artio JoomSEF off and I can see the past newsletters.

I also have tried clicking on the "Unsubsribe" link on one of the newsletters, but I get sent to the home page.

Any suggestions??

I looked at the logs and it seemed that the max memory size was being exceeded, so I asked my hosting company to increase the max memory size to 32M, and it appears to be working now!

Why would the max memory size be exceeded??

I have also noticed that you can login successfully when you use the login form on the home page, so why can't you login at the cart screen??

Sirs,

Every time I test my cart with Artio JoomSEF enabled, when I get as far as the login screen, when I try to login, I get a white page which says that there has been an internal server error. I have checked my .htaccess file and it seems to be ok. When I disable Artio JoomSEF, the error does not occur.

Any suggestion??

My .htaccess file is as follows

I managed to reinstall the component by extracting the zip file and placing it in administrator/components/com_install/components. It seems to be working now.

The reason why I had to do a manual install is because when I tried to install using the component zip file, I got an error saying that the zip file was in a bad format. An it is 2.3.2 - the latest version downloadable from your website -

Sirs,

I had to reinstall JoomSEF on a Joomla 1.0 site. I tried installing version 2.3.2, but I kept getting the message that installation of the component had failed. I eventually ended up copying the files accross using FTP from a site backup which I keep. The component seems to be working, but JoomSEF does not appear in the list of components. to get to the control panel, I have to go to /administrator/index2.php?option=com_sef

Is there a way to get JoomSEF to appear in the list of components when I am in my administrator back end?

More of an update....

I tried installing JoomSEF v2.3.2 on my Joomla V1.5 site but I get an error message

Warning: require_once(/var/www/Joomla-1.5/administrator/components/com_installer/admin.installer.html.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /var/www/Joomla-1.5/administrator/components/com_sef/installer/sefext.php on line 23

Ok I know you say that for Joomla 1.5 you need JoomSEF V 3.x, but I thought that V2.3.2 might work with the legacy plugin enabled, but obviously not! I though that I might be able to do an import using the same versions of JoomSEF on both my V1.5 and V1.0 sites.

Do you have a version which runs on both V1.5 and 1.0? If so has it been fully tested to do export/imports of the SEF URL's?

Progress so far.....

I did an exact copy of my Joomla 1.0 and 1.5 sites and installed them on a local test computer. I imported all the MySQL data to both of the databases. I tried exporting the SEF URL's from my 1.0 site to the 1.5 site and I logged me out of the Joomla 1.5 admin site.

I did a bit of reading on this and there is a bug in Joomla 1.5 and that you should put the "Remember me" module above the system cache and another module who's name escapes me. So I did this and it made no difference.

So next I tried exporting all the jos-redirection table in my Joomla 1.0 site to the mySQL table in the Joomla 1.5 database, as described previously in this thread! All the data seemed to be imported ok, so next I cleaned the cache in the JoomSEF control panel, and guess what. I get 404 after 404 after 404! The Joomla 1.5 site still appears to be looking for the SEF URLs which it generated itself before the data was imported.

So where do we go from now?

The import did not work. I said about 3 posts ago that when I try to import the URL's, I just get logged out of the admin site. and that is the Joomla 1.5 site.

That does not work and it hasn't changed since that post!

There is no error message.

On my Joomla 1.0 site, I am using Artio SEF v2.3.4 and v3.3.5 on my Joomla 1.5 site. The Virtuemart plugin for JoomSef is 1.1.4 for the Joomla 1.0 site and 2.06 for the Joomla 1.5 site.

Any suggestions?

Sorry, but I don't appear to have received any responce. This problem is not solved and it is holding up the launch of a new website.

Do you have any other suggestions or does your component just not work?

Please note that I don't just want the URL's to be the same on both sites, I want the titles, the meta desciptions, the meta tags, and all the rest of the info, like the index, follow etc. I have put a lot of work into the Joomla 1.0 site and I don't want to have to do it all again!

I have tried ecporting the URL's from the Joomla 1.0 site using the admin side of Artio JoomSEF and importing them into the Artio component in the Joomla 1.5 site, I just get logged out of the admin site in Joomla 1.5.

Sirs,

I have found out that when I have JoomSEF enabled, when I put something in the cart and click on checkout, I get redirected to the home page. When JoomSEF is switched off, it seems to work - it goes to the user login page.

I did see another post about this but there did not appear to be a solution.

How do I get round this??

I did this and followed your instructions. The only thing is that my Joomla 1.0 and 1.5 sites appear to display different URL's for the same page.

Example -

Joomla 1.0 - www.nav-e-gate4less.co.uk/gps-mapping-software/anquet.html

Joomla 1.5 - www.nav-e-gate4less.co.uk/Joomla_V1_5/an...apping-software.html

So how do I get round this without having to edit every single redirected URL?

Ok thanks for the info.

Could you possibly tell me what the syntax for copying the table in Joomla 1.0 to the table in the Joomla 1.5 is? I'd rather get it right first time than spend hours surfing on the net and getting nowhere!

The changing the names can that do done by viewing the table structure or is that another SQL statement? If it is the latter, could you advise a statement.

Sorry but I am not up to speed with SQL statements
