Hi Jitr,

I tried re-installing today and deleted the old documents folder so it could be re-created and now everything seems to be working fine!

Happy days!

Hi,

I installed JoomDoc on my testing server without issue and have now migrated onto the clients intranet site, since the migration we've had all kinds of issues so this morning I un-installed JDoc and cleaned that database of any remaining tables before re-installing the component.

Now it appears to work correctly, folders can be created, files uploaded and documents added. files can be downloaded via the admin section.

However when I try to download a file via the website front end I get the following error:

JFolder: :files: Path is not a folder. Path: C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\documents\Test folder\.versions\.New Text Document.txt\.0
File not available

Files are available in the site folders and have been uploaded properly, I have tried disabling and enabling document versions with no difference made. I am logged in as a Super User with all permissions granted. The site is running on Xamp for windows.

Can anyone help? Is it the path I provided thats incorrect? Please help!

I think to install from the tmp directory you need to have the files unzipped.

Just extract into the directory and then goto Joomlas extensio installer update to the correct path and click the install from directory button.

G'luck!

Hi,

My client and I have JoomDoc installed on a local intranet and one of his requirements was for the component to email notifications to users when documents are uploaded or edited.

We already have a quote for the feature to be added, I was just wondering how we go about actually making the purchase?

Thanks.

One other thing has confused me greatly and that is the 'add document/edit document' links.

I would like to rename the buttons to 'add info/edit info' but after much searching in the components files I can't find where that text is defined at all.

Is it possible to change it? As it stands it will confuse our users massively, its taken me nearly 2 days to get my head round it!

Hi

Thanks for the reply, I think you misunderstood my question.

Basically no matter what document root I set in the CP, the explorer always writes the initial folder as JoomDoc, please see the image below.

I would like the initial folder in the tree to say something else.

If I set a different folder as the initial in the explorer module CP. it breaks and gives me a JS error
as follows:

Notice: Undefined variable: lastLevel in /home/www/*.**.*/*/administrator/components/com_joomdoc/libraries/joomdoc/html/joomdoc.php on line 110

It needs to be set to -- everywhere -- for the module to function correctly.

Hope this clarifies things.

Hi,

I've managed to get the component working but would like to change the name of the 'root' documents folder (i.e. the one in which I have created my subfolders) named joomdocs in the document explorer module.

Is this going to be possible? Does your component support overrides?

Thanks
