TOPIC: menu title and category title in url - duplication

menu title and category title in url - duplication 13 years, 4 months ago #38664

I have set "Add categories to URL" to NO; it works for individual article urls. However, for every category page (both list and blog layout), both the menu title and category title displays.

Since I name my categories after their respective menu items, I get duplication. How can I get rid of the menu (or category) title in the urls for each main category list/blog page?

Hi,

In the Content JoomSEF extension parameters on the Common tab set "Add menu title to URL" to "No".

You need to purge or update the already existing (stored) SEF URLs.

I have purged the cache many times (both in joomla and the browser, chrome and firefox), but still no change.
