Hi I can see no information regarding how long it takes for the SEF URLs to show in a google search.
I installed JoomSEF two days ago but my site is still showing the old URLs.
Does google first have to crawl my website again before the show?

Hi,
It depends entirely on Google when it reindexes your website with new URLs. It can take as much as several weeks.
