What does this do?

$title[$i] = $this->GoogleNews($title[$i], $id);

The $title array holds individual parts of resulting SEF URL, so before calling that line, it looks like this:

Calling $title[$i] = $this->GoogleNews($title[$i], $id); changes the last part (the title) according to the settings. So this needs to be changed and probably the GoogleNews() function itself will need some changes.
