Hoping someone can help me with this.

Before installing JoomSEF google had indexed some of my old virtuemart links which were just using the built in Joomla SEF.

I have been trying to 301 redirect these to the new JoomSEF links but I am having trouble identifying how to do this. I can redirect static URL's to the new pages without a problem but the dynamic URLs dont seem to redirect at all.

The URL's I need to redirect look like this:

my-shop-name?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=70&category_id=11

to 301 to the new Joomsef links:

www.myshopname.com/category/product

I am happy to input all the URLs manually but just cannot seem to get any 301 redirection in htaccess to work.

Can anyone help?

make sure that "Redirect nonj-sef URLs to SEF" option in JoomSEF configuration is ON.
If the indexed URLs are partly SEO (this means, they do not start with index.php, but they still include variables like page=xxx) then the only way to setup a functional redirect at the moment is adding a RewriteRules to your .htaccess that will parse the QUERY_STRING and make the redirections based on its values.

Appreciate its outside of the scope - I tried doing the query string redirects but it was beyond my skill level so If I cant get it sorted I'll get the paid support.

Just one query - I can't seem to find an option for: Redirect nonj-sef URLs to SEF

I can see redirect SEF but where in the configuration is nonjsef?

the exact name of the configuration item is:
"Redirect nonSEF URLs to SEF?"

It can be found in "Advanced Configuration" section.
