TOPIC: Simplest forum extension problem

Simplest forum extension problem 14 years, 3 months ago #10343

Hi,

I purchased JoomSEF 3 and the Simplest Forum extension for it yesterday, today I installed it, all seemed to be well until I noticed that the simplest forum extension caused my forum list to link to the forum posts list when you click on the forum name rather than the topic list as I set it up.

I don't understand why and I'd like some help fixing this.

Thank you.

i had the sample problem, and i solved editing the anchor (<a>) link in views/forumlist/tmpl/default.php. In the anchor you see that can go to postlist o topiclist, delete the postlist option.

ALSO I HAVE A BIG PROBLEM WHEN YOU GET TO TOPIC LIST, AND LINK IN A TOPIC TO GO TO POSTLIST. tHE PROBLEM IS THAT DUPLICATE THE FORUM NAME IN THE URL.

HELPPPP

I'll try your solution, as for the 2nd problem you mentioned, yeah, I noticed it as well but I only have one forum at the time so I just fixed it manually.

---EDIT---

OK, tried your solution, removing the postlist option altogether caused a 500 internal error but replacing it with a 2nd topiclist option did the trick.

thank you.

Hello,
a new release of SimplestForum extension has been just released. Could you please try to upgrade and report back if it helped? (do not forget to purge existing problematic URLs)

I may try it, just for general knowledge however as I changed to kunena by now, I got to a conclusion that simplest forum was just too simple for my needs.
