I have a portal which has more tha 400 categories and each category has more than 100 articles. How can I define the SEF of sections and categories also?
I would like to generate the articles SEF URL automatically from the "Alias title". Is it possible?

Yes, it is perfectly possible. You can set this in Use Title or Alias? setting in JoomSEF configuration - this is general setting for all extensions or Title URL part in JoomSEF / Manage Extensions / Content.
