TOPIC: Issues with Kunena Forum & Artio

Issues with Kunena Forum & Artio 14 years, 10 months ago #6859

Order #4660 Artio SEO + 2 Paid Plugins

I had an issue yesterday that ultimately was due to some other (hacks) mods, however this problem is part of the SEO process. The problem is with the Kunena forums "edit" links.

1) For members it gives them a "your not authorized to edit this post" error.
I have the forums set to "0" for unlimited edit time so this should not be a problem.

2) When I edit as Admin the link to edit a post always edits the first post of the thread.
So for instance if I try to edit the 4th post on a thread, and I click edit..the page reloads to the first post even though I clicked on edit the 4th one.

I have tried several configuration changes to the Kunena plugin, including....

Exclude do action from URL = No
Ignore multiple sources = No
Exclude ID from URL = No

Sadly none of these settings made any difference. I am sure this issue has been brought up for the Fireboard Component?,....I searched the forums for a fix but the search functions here are limited at best, or I am searching with the wrong terms.

Ok, so I have upgraded the Forum to the latest version 1.0.10 removed ALL hacks or mods.

Now every time I enable the Kunena plugin I get this error.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class CKunenaConfig in /usr/local/4admin/apache/vhosts/screen-printer.net/httpdocs/components/com_kunena/lib/kunena.config.class.php on line 419

The line it states is the issue is the last line of code and is simply a bracket {

I have tried both flipping it around, and even removing it but the error does not change? I figured that very least it would offer me a new error. Would really appreciate some guidence here on how to enable the forums for SEO as its the KEY part of my site and a forum with good SEO is a must have feature for my site.

Hi there,

I have exactly the same problem.
I installed CB 1.2.1 and Kunena 1.0.10, using Artio 2.3.1.

When having JoomSEF enabled for Kunena, I get "Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class CKunenaConfig ...kunena.config.class.php on line 419" when calling a users profile (i.e www.------.de/index.php?option=com_compr...rofile&user=9999)

By disabling the Artio JoomSEF for Kunena, Forum and CB are working OK but still smaller issues with Kunena.

Before I had disabled JoomSEF only for CB and activated it for Kunena. With 1.0.9 it was working mostly fine.

I downloaded the latest CB and Kunena extentions for JoomSEF and activated them but no change.

Currently I am running my site with JoomSEF disabled for CB and Kunena as this seems to be the only working configuration. Anyway, I dont really like it this way, so if there is any solution, I would appreciate.

Best regards

Michael

Hello,

I just tested fresh install of Kunena - file com_kunena_v1.0.10_stable_b1344_2009-05-21.zip
with our latest Kunena extension 1.1.1 on JoomSEF 2.3.3 and it works just fine.

So, please, double check you have the latest versions of everything.

Most likely, that error is caused by attempt of double declaration of CKunenaConfig class. Maybe that is caused by some extra fucntion call in CB or other 3rd party components. To fix that, the error could be prevented by adding an condition to the file, where this class is defined:

if (!class_exists('CKunenaConfig')) {
... the class definition will be encapsulated here ...
}

That should prevent the error.

Hi Jan,

thanks for the advise.
Strange enough this error only happend when JoomSEF is enabled. Without JoomSEF no such error. If there would really be a double declaration of CKunenaConfig class, wouldn't that be the case also without JoomSEF?

Do you think that an update from JoomSEF 232 to 233 would affect this issue, because except this, I am using all latest components and plugins.

Also when you work with a fresh installation, please create a new threat with more than one posts in Kunena and try to edit the second post. For me this did not work with Kunena 1.0.9 and 1.0.10 as it was always linked to the first post inside the threat. The editing the second post inside a threat was impossible.

Thanks and best regards

Michael

Hello,

maybe I have identified the problem. Please, try to upgrade Kunena JoomSEF extension when available - should be released later today.
