I'm using ARTIO (payed) and it works great, love it!
I'm concerned about something though...
So for instance, I create a menu which has the following setup:
home
game rules
- great game 1
- great game 2
- great game 3
news
about us
contact
In my artio link manager I go to the urls (automatically generated ) and I see the following:
home/ for home
game-rules/great-game-1/
game-rules/great-game-2/
game-rules/great-game3/
news/
about-us/
contact/
Which is ok, but not really what I want. I would rather have:
game-rules/great-game-1-rules/
So I edit the link in the artio link manager and I go to my site, refresh the page and PRESTO it works. The link in the menu has changed to: game-rules/great-game-1-rules/, while the menu item name stayed the same, just what I wanted!
However... If I go to: game-rules/great-game-1/ this still works as well... why? I just changed it in Artio and the link in my menu changed as well, but I can still access me page with the "old" link as well. That's bad, now I got the chance of Google finding duplicate content on my site...
What's happening? My guess is, because in my Joomla! setup you need to turn on "Search Engine Friendly URLs" for ARTIO JoomSEF to work, Joomla! creates SEO friendly URL's next to ARTIO JoomSEF. Is there a way to "fix" this?
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks in advance for any support.
ps. If I need to provide purchase information don't hesitate to ask me.
