default order Acknowlegement is cancelled when i install vminvoice

can i use both at the same time

Hello. As far I know, default order confirmation e-mails are still sent with VM Invoice. They do not interfere.
On other hand, issue is usually different - users wants to disable VM automatic e-mails, when they using VM Invoice.
