TOPIC: Customising Book it!

Customising Book it! 13 years, 3 months ago #19881

Having installed the component and placed it appropriately in my site, a couple of queries pop up quickly . . .

1. Can customers book an object without being added to the user list for the site?
2. Can we reduce the number of fields the customer must enter in order to make a booking?
3. When making a booking, there was no "object" to book despite me creating one in the setup. Is there likely to be something I am doing wrong here?

Cheers from Aussie Land!

1. Yes. You can allow booking for unregistered users.
2. In current version are customers fields fixed.
3. I don't understand. Would you describe this in more details?

Hello,

as regards 2, I believe you might be able to hide the non-compulsory user fields using CSS, so they simply do not show up for users.

@jtrumpes:
The demo shows that a customer can make a booking and then enter their desired contact details. I can't seem to configure the free version to do it. Anyone know if this is a limitation of the free version or am I missing something?

On number 3: I think that was my fault.

The complete lack of documentation is making this difficult.

Cheers again.

Thanks for that. Here are a couple of screenshots of my current setup:

I want the user to go to the booking calendar and then enter their contact information.
