Hi,
Do you use caching in Joomla? In 4.2.4 we've moved configuration to database and it seems that Joomla caches it. The configuration should be saved, but the changes aren't displayed. Try clearing the cache in Joomla after saving the configuration or disabling cache while you make changes.
We'll fix this in next version.
