I was under the assumption that my automatic upgrade of JoomSEF might have caused my site to break with the error:
Fatal error: Call to undefined method JoomSEF::_varfiltertest() in /home/content/..../administrator/components/com_sef/classes/seftools.php on line 990
I was only able to get the site back up and running by totally deleting the Joomsef component and reinstalling from scratch.
It turns out that it may not have been the JoomSEF upgrade that killed the site. I finally noticed after the reinstall that I had not reinstalled my extensions. When I went in and had JoomSEF automatically download and install the DOCman extension I found that my site died again with the same error.
In other words, it appears that at least in my case the current DOCman extension version that is supplied through the backend JoomSEF extension panel may be the culprit and perhaps needs to be fixed. Has anyone else observed this problem?
