TOPIC: How to get rid of %20 in between two words in URL

How to get rid of %20 in between two words in URL 15 years, 6 months ago #5073

Hi, I have the latest SEF and joomla 1.57.

how come artio SEF is allowing %20 to get in between the two words with space in a title of a file that later shows o the URL? I specified in the setting to replace % by (-) hyphen....

Anyways.. here is the example link:
www.szulga.com/movies/card/Righteous%20Kill%20.html

Also, I'm using the jmovies 1.31 and their artio sef file has errors and artio component gives errors as a result of it...

could you help me with some modifications in it please?

Thanks
Ali

Hello,

most probably the URL is modified by the component self before it gets to JoomSEF.
%20 is a URL-safe representation of "space" character. Spaces in titles are by default replaced by "-" by JoomSEF.
So the %20 must appear in the URL before it gets to JoomSEF.

There is not much we could do about this at JoomSEF part. This need to be solved either by a special extension for JoomSEF or in the component self.

If you want us to take care about such problem, you will need to turn to paid support services.
