TOPIC: Problem with index.php on url

Problem with index.php on url 12 years, 10 months ago #22287

Hello i use joomla 1.6.2 with ARTIO JoomSEF 4.0.4 for friendly urls. i have enabled Search Engine Friendly URLs from joomla global as well as Use URL rewriting (default .htaccess). i also use 2 diferent modules to display articles. Mega Mini News and display news. everything works with display news. urls are as supposed to be , as i want. but with mega mini news i have problems. when i click on display news url i go to localhost/category/article but when i click on mega mini news url i get a url like localhost/index.php/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id...... which goes nowhere, if i remove the first index.php and hit enter !!! it works ... no... how to fix this ?? its joomsef problem ? its joomla's problem or modules problem ?? plz help

I've seen something really similar happen with an extension called magebridge. I've had the best luck so far by selecting "components router" under the extension settings for the magebridge component. Curiously, if you open up the magebridge extension options and use the drop down you do not see an option for "components router". (It ends up being a value of "0" if you edit the mysql table directly.) Ive also found that if you click on the router directly, where it is visible with the list of extensions on the main extensions page, you can change it there and one of the options will be "components router". Maybe selecting this for the extension you are having problems with will help to?
