My problem is, that JoomSEF only generates URL´s, till they are not longer than 120 letters.
How can i change this, that longer URL´s are possible?

i have the same problem..for urls that are too long, it won't create a good url. So if i got a long article Title, it won't create a working url (most of the times also without the .html) and gives me the 404 error.
If i change the article title in something shorter, it works instantly.

ok I understand your problem, but do you think that 120 chars long URLs are still SEF (and also user-friendly)? We try to fix this issue by shortening the long URLs correctly so there should not appear 404 pages, but you guys should on the other side consider using some shorter titles for your content. You may try to set different longer and short ones using the article title and alias.
